Congratulations – because of your well-written and thoughtful application, you have been accepted as a participant in WRCMS 2018! 😀 Over the past few months, we’ve been working hard to plan out and create a wonderful contemporary music experience for all of you. We are excited about all of the events and top-notch guest artists and can’t wait to meet all of you in July!
In order to confirm your spot, you must complete the two steps below by March 30th.
Pay the participant fee.
Fill out the 2018 Participant Acceptance Form. This contains additional information about WRCMS 2018, and helps us keep track of things like dietary restrictions, etc.
If you are unable to attend, please let us know as soon as possible so we can contact applicants on our waiting list.
What Comes Next?
Once all participants have registered (paid the fee & filled out the acceptance form), the WRCMS team will put together pairing groups and begin facilitating accommodations. After that, here is what you can expect:
- Composers: You will receive information about the instrumentation & musicians for whom you are writing. You must submit a draft of a piece of 6 minutes max. length to your working group & WRCMS by June 8, 2018. We expect working groups to be in contact with one another during the compositional process.
- Performers/Ensembles: You will find out who you are playing with & who is writing for you. You will receive music by June 8, 2018 and are expected to prepare for the piece prior to the beginning of WRCMS.
- Improvisers/Ensembles: You will find out who you are playing with & who is writing for you. If you are working with a composer, you will receive music by June 8, 2018. Depending on the nature of your project, you might be preparing in advance, or you might not.

ca. April 15 – pairing groups notification
